Copy Writing

"No definition of poetry is adequate unless it be poetry itself."
This quote from Henry David Thoreau nicely captures my perspective on writing. I believe that ideas aren't fully realized until they are formulated in words. Writing is therefore not the process of "translating" ideas onto the page. Writing is the process by which those ideas are made.

An idea can be anything. It can be an explanation of how something works. It can be a feeling that you want another person to feel. It can be a statement of values. But in all cases, writing is the art and science of bringing an idea to life.
Web Copy
Digital Supercluster is a government funding agency for Canadian businesses. I wrote the web copy for their new "Foundational Digital Skills Hub", a website designed to educate businesses about available programs and resources. The website is quite interactive, with plenty of scroll-triggered animations and dynamic text. I worked with their team to have the copy interact with these mechanics in a way that was engaging for the reader. Click here to visit the site.
